The purpose of the Army Nurse Corps Association Scholarship Program is to award scholarships to U.S. citizen students attending accredited baccalaureate or graduate nursing or anesthesia nursing programs.
The 2013 scholarships will be awarded in memory of Captain Bruce Kevin Clark, Army Nurse Corps. In May 2012, while deployed to to Tarin Kowt, Afghanistan in support of US and coalition forces, he lost his life due to noncombat-related causes. Captain Clark joined the US Army in 2006 after completing his baccalaureate in nursing at The College of Brockport, State University of New York. He served at Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, Hawaii, and at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, El Paso, Texas, before his deployment. ANCA salutes Captain Clark for his patriotic service and sacrifice for his country.
